Pickering, the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the southern terminus of the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.

Overlooking the town are the remains of an 11th-12th century castle while within it can be found such attractions as the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul with its mediaeval wall paintings dating back to the 15th century and the Beck Isle Museum of Rural life with a fascinating collection of artefacts, furnishings, costumes and documents from Pickering and the surrounding area.

Below are photographs taken at Pickering.  Selecting an image will open up a new window from where you can navigate through the images as a slide show.  Simply close that window to return to this page.
