A stunning selection of photographs depicting steam trains in action on the railways around Yorkshire.
Many of these steam railway images are centred on the area surrounding Pontefract in West Yorkshire; quite a number have been taken by local steam railway photographer Peter Cookson, but all have been donated from the archive collection held in Pontefract Museum, Yorkshire.
